In the spirit of free information for the culture-starved traveller, arttrav.com is pleased to announce FREE TRAVEL PODCASTS on this site.
Artrav's "travpods", or podcasts, are university-level lectures on key locations in Florence and Italy. The information provided for you to take along, or listen to at home, is based on lectures either given or heard in the past few years. The kids section contains educational podcasts for parents and children to enjoy travelling together.
What makes travpods different from other travel podcasts? The presence of a clear structure, an original thesis and precise information in each episode. As in the text section of arttrav, we make every effort to transmit accurate as well as interesting facts at a level both acceptable to university researchers and interesting to the "art traveler".
Podcasts are distributed in MP3 format and are playable on most media players and computers, including ipod. You can listen to the travpods on the website using the flash player below each entry, or save it to your hard disk and MP3 player by clicking the link (for windows users, right click, "save target as").
We look forward to hearing what you think - use the comments feature to let us know. If you love travpods a lot, consider making a paypal donation (see bottom of page to learn how to support arttrav).
Copyright message: Please do not distribute or remix these travpods. Any samples used come from Freesound or ccmixter and are licensed under Creative Commons.
