A design match – BP Studio fashion + Lago furniture event May 24 2012

A few months ago, LAGO, a very cool Italian furniture design brand, opened a store in Florence on via Lamarmora (the extension of via Cavour beyond piazza San Marco, towards the viali). I have really always lusted after their stuff, but cannot afford it.
Lago recently suggested a joint event with BP Studio, a historic Florentine knitwear brand whose social media I manage. Thus I am proud to be able to invite readers to the Lago store in Florence on May 24 2012, at 6pm, to discover both their awesome furniture and the BP Studio Summer 2012 collection, which will be set up in a unique installation.
At the event there will be a special aperitivo, which, as it coincides with the Firenze Gelato Festival, involves… gelato! The ice cream made by the master gelato maker Toni Cafarelli is famous for its unusual flavours like ricotta, balsamic vinegar and the like. This will be the perfect event to get to taste these in a posh setting (without having to pay for it!).
You will also get to know BP Studio better – their knitwear has been made in Italy since 1959 and uses some very interesting techniques. For example this collection has some pieces that are actually made of raffia, like a jacket and a little black dress!
